Celebrating the Bride-to-be | A Green-house Bridal Shower

My sister is getting married in 6 weeks. We threw a little party in her honor.

I love parties.
I love planning parties.
I love decorating for parties.
I love Coordinating parties.

I do not love cleaning up after parties.

Now that my dad’s greenhouse is completed, I’ve been itching to throw a party in his back yard.
The great thing about outside parties is that you don’t have to do a lot of decorating to make it look fabulous.

We used decorations we had on hand and a few friends helped us with the food.

Bride-to-be ^^

I made her corsage from flowers I picked around the house.
Mini Pink Roses, Lavender, Dusty Miller and Hasta leaves.

The Hasta leaves are my favorite part of the corsage. They are just so pretty. I wrapped the stems in a hasta leaf as well.

The Peach Ice Cream sign was something I made for my wedding last year (It now hangs permanently at the front of the greenhouse). ^^
Also, the hanging table is a piece from my wedding. It is an old barn door suspended from the rafters. My favorite table of all time!

I’ve been wanting to make a powdered donut cake for a long time. ^^

Mother-Daughter Picture ^^

This is how we entertained the little boy who wanted in on the picture. We told him to run up and down the pathway.

This was one of my favorite decor pieces we threw together. These are coconut shell lanterns (I brought them home from Thailand)  that used to hang in the trees with candles. The string rotted and I haven’t taken the time to fix them. We picked a few different kinds of greens from around the house – Hasta, Mint tea, Lavender, Fern, dusty miller and a white rose.

Do you have a party coming up that you need help planning and executing? I don’t have an official business set up but if you want to hire someone, I have experience and I’d love to take care of the details for you.

I am not joking when I say that I love party planning and dreaming.

  1. I love the mother/daughters shot! Great post & the party looks like it would’ve been wonderful! P.S. I loved seeing Great-Aunt Miriam too! 🙂

  2. Beautiful. Just beautiful. But I would expect nothing less from you, my creative sister in law. The muffins and liners brought back sweet memories from last weekend.:)i bet you made them for the shower.

  3. Lovely greenhouse! Love the pretty details!
